Hello - while I’m fully aware my ds needs to do this for himself, I was wondering if anyone had any tips on finding, applying for and securing industry placements or summer placements for a geography student (currently second year bsc).
He’s been in touch with the uni careers service for help but I’m not sure how helpful this is. I’d really like to have some insight so I can support if need be - and prod him if it looks like he’s not doing enough!
He’s interested in environmental consultancy (and has some work experience lined up for next Easter) but I’m sure would consider other related fields.
It feels like these are super hard to get so any tips would be welcome. Thanks!
