Best insurance provider for students on a year abroad.

DS and his girlfriend are both heading off on their years abroad in the next month.

His girlfriend will be in Europe, while DS is off to one of the 'Stans. (Russian speaking).

Can anyone please advise on good insurance providers for students spending 6-9 months abroad. Obviously health insurance rather than belongings is the key consideration.

I think most universities provide worldwide travel insurance for students studying abroad for a year?

Ours is provided by the uni once she hits campus. Currently backpacking in se Asia and has backpackers insurance but once she hits uni it’s covered in her fees.
