Uni start date earlier than accomodation

Has anyone else had this? And how did you resolve it? The actual course starts on 25th September but there are induction activities the week of the 18th that she shouldn't miss apparently. The accommodation is available from the 22nd.

Now, we're just about commutable if it comes to that but obviously that's not ideal.

Is it uni accommodation or private?
If it's uni, just give them a ring - they will sort it.
If it's private, if it's empty I can't see why they wouldn't extend the contract.

Hmm, tricky one. Which city? Then someone here might know the provider.

DDs private halls lets you pick the dates. Last year she paid a small amount to live in the week before freshers as her flat mates were moving in that day.

This year she hasn’t. They have the same flat and same flat mates so they are living in the weekend before.

Tell you child they should call the private halls and ask.

We faced similar last year when Italia Conti moved location and the halls were used to Uni of Surrey dates. As soon as the halls were approached they offered amended dates for Conti students that were not only earlier starting by nearly a month, but also later finishing by a month.
