Student house jointly liable and guarantors

My DD is starting drama school in London in September. We do not libe in the U.K.

she didn’t get a place in the nearby student halls so is looking for a house with 4 others on her course that she only knows through social media.

How does guaranteeing the rent normally work in these situations? Can they all go together and use a commercial guarantor?
I can pay her full rent in advance to a guarantor agency but I don’t want to be on the hook for 5 lots of rent if someone else doesn’t pay.

As an international student offering to pay her share in full upfront you probably won't be asked to be a guarantor.

You won't be allowed to be a guarantor if you are overseas.

Not true, dd shares with overseas students who have guarantors. Are there no private halls nearby?
