Where to search for university courses

My DD is coming to end of year 12 and is not sure what subject to take at university. There'll be some subjects she's never even heard off which she might find interesting but how could she find out about these?

Most of the university comparative sites require you to type in what subject you want to study first before it brings up a list of places that offer that course.

So is there anywhere, any one website, that you can search all the subjects that every university offers? Like a massive search engine with a huge selection of all degrees in all subjects. Location is irrelevant at the moment, just want to check out all the possible courses she could do.

My daughter did most of her research from the Times Good Uni guide (book)

UCAS is the best starting point. Also Discover uni.

Also, there's a book called Degree Course Offers by Brian Heap. It lists every course with entry requirements and additional advice about the application process for each subject.
The school might have a copy. They sell it on Amazon but not particularly cheap.

Does the school have Unifrog? That does exactly what you are describing, in that you input a vague suggestion and it gives you many more variants back again.

Thanks everyone. Discover Uni looks like just the thing we're looking for.

You can put your a levels into the boxes on this website and it will tell you what other people with those a levels do.

Does school use unifrog or a similar platform?

Pick a handful of unis she's interested in and order their prospectuses.

I much prefer looking through on paper than online, where I think they all merge into one.

You get a sense of where a unis priorities are from how they structure etc their prospectus.
