My DD is interested in attending college to do a course in childcare & education, but she also wants to do an A level in psychology. She can do both at the college she's interested in, I'm not sure if she can do both, or is it either or?

She's interested in going to uni after post 16 to do a university degree in psychology and then onto do child psychology.

We went to an open day today and we didn't ask

I did, granted it was a long time ago. I did an ILEX Level 3 Diploma in Law along with A Levels in English Lang and Lit, Geography and Psychology. It was tough going but worth it, for me anyway.

You need to ask the College whether it's both or either/or - no one here knows as we don't know what the childcare course is.

In general though as long as the course is the equivalent to 2 A levels then it will be fine for uni entry. (Make sure the degree is BPS accredited.)

What sort of grades is she expecting for GCSE?

My son is doing a Btec worth 2 A levels and 1 A level.

Thanks for all the responses, I'll give the college a bell next week
