Have anyones dc studied or studying architecture at either Liverpool John moores or University of Liverpool? Ds has offers for both but can't decide. Any experience to share would be helpful

The University of Liverpool are so much better uni than John Moores.

Though John Moores is very good if you need extra support. I'm not sure that would apply to the architecture courses though.

Apologies for typos! Liverpool University is a red brick uni where John Moores is an old Polytechnic.

Has he been to look round both? What are his priorities?

I would look at outcomes. Whose students get the best jobs? Or indeed get jobs at all. Architecture students can end up
not getting fully qualified because the building industry is such a weather vane and cyclical.

John Moores punches above its weight as a former poly at 18 in the CUG. Liverpool is 11. So not much difference. Who has got the best industry links? Who produces the most employable architects? Then decide if syllabus and teaching style suit.

RIBA has validated parts 1,2 and 3 at both these schools and reported on Liverpool in 2019 and JM in 2022. I would read the reports on the RIBA website.
