Newcastle accommodation near football pitches!

Forgive this niche post but I am hoping someone with DC at Newcastle uni can advise? DS2 is looking into accommodation but wants one that is near a football pitch or two as he loves playing football with friends. I can see some (eg. Park View) are near the Sports Centre but don't think the SC has pitches. Where to football mad undergrads go to play? Thanks for any advice

I have just looked on a map and seen that there is a football pitch at Leazes Park, which is near Park View and Castle Leazes.

Cochrane park or longbenton sports ground for grass pitches. There are various 5/7 a side astroturf pitches (Heaton, walker, Gateshead) and parks for kick abouts (Leazes, exhibition)

Neither of them are near student halls.
