Bath University for Politics and IR

Some of you may recognise me from my previous threads on Surrey and Essex, both of which my ds has attended offer days for. He was impressed by both though Surrey has the edge at the moment.
He is going to Bath with his Dad next weekend. What can he expect from Bath politics and IR? What should he look out for? Is there anything about Bath University he should particularly check out?
I know Bath a favourite on Mumsnet but ds not sure yet as was so impressed by Surrey course.
He has an offer of AAB for Bath and an invitation to do their 18 hour access to Bath course before the end of July.
Any advice I can pass onto him before he goes is welcome. Thanks.

@Crumpetsforsupper As far as I know, DD just did some taster things online in the first few weeks. Everything else has been f2f. Here in Italy we were forced into 2 solid academic years of online teaching (completely unnecessarily) and it was very important to DD to find out that very little is done online at Bath and it was one of the first questions we asked!

You’re welcome, if you click on the unit codes on the left hand column, it gives some more detail.

DD is 2nd year STEM subject at Bath. We saw the uni on a grey wet October day during COVID restrictions - we didn't see any students or inside any buildings so I didn't feel the love for the place but DD liked it, and on paper it was beat for her as she didn't want to go to Scotland or London. Following her uni choices during year 13, when COVID was marring the experience of university for students, Bath felt -very student-centric.

DD joined WhatsApp subject group even before a level results day so I'd suggest your D's or DD does that once they firm. They weren't as active as the accommodation ones but did help my DD make good friends on her course very quickly.

An update. Ds got accepted to Bath to do Politics and IR. A very relieved boy.
Taking a year out to work and just got a retail job.
Hope all is well with everyone on this thread.
Thanks for all support given earlier in the process.

Thank you. He looked at serving counter in shop and said aghast that looks like he will be standing all day. Work will be a wake up call I think!

Congratulations! How exciting for him! Good to hear some positive news as almost everyone we know in real life was disappointed yesterday.
DD is currently getting excited about going back. We're on holiday now but she's worked for 6 weeks on a summer residential course to put some £££s away for next year. Also randomly met on the residential job another girl at Bath so that's nice.

Hope your son enjoys his job!
