Boomerang666 · 23/02/2023 20:59

My DD has been accepted to LMA in London, she has still got some auditions for other places and is waiting to hear from a few other performing arts schools and universities. I just wondered if anybody else has experience of LMA and if it is a good place to study and to get good results. Any information and real life experience would be great please. TIA x

I don’t know anyone who has been turned down from there.

My DD has been offered a place too. She is booked on the open day this week as I know very little about this place

I have no idea if it's a good place to study but they gave out 1st or 2.1 degrees to 85% of their graduates last year. That is a lot, and makes me wonder about their assessment rigour.

It’s not unusual for auditioned vocational performing arts colleges and music conservatoires to give a high number of 1st class degrees as entry standards are often very high.

Hi did you find any info on LMA? my daughter has been accepted for 2024 but I cant really find any reviews etc

Comefromaway · 08/12/2023 11:54

I know a few who have gone there/are currently there, one for music and a couple for musical theatre.

It's not great.
