Hello, has anyone's DC heard from Imperial (rejection or acceptance). DS has applied and had assessment and interview not heard though.

Ds has his interview next week. Then, we'll see.

@FriendlyLaundryMonster DS is engineering. What is your DC going for?

computer science

Good luck to your DS that seems a notoriously competitive course. DS had interview at Imperial good few weeks ago I think the interviewers seemed really friendly (and good at getting him to talk!) and he seemed to be happy afterwards.

there are threads on the student room where applicants from both this year and last year have posted details of when they got offers into a google sheet. From the 2022 thread it looks like most offers (about 60%) came out in March, but almost none after that.

From my research, if you get to IV stage you're very likely to get an offer. Around 80% chance.

@FriendlyLaundryMonster my DS will be applying for comp sci in the autumn. Do you mind saying which other unis you applied to?

FriendlyLaundryMonster · 24/02/2023 12:15

@Amboseli Ds also put Cambridge, St Andrews, Edinburgh and Birmingham (PWC sponsored course) on his UCAS.

Amboseli · 24/02/2023 12:26

@FriendlyLaundryMonster thanks, all great unis. Has he received offers from them?

DS is considering Cambridge but not sure about applying to both Imperial and Cambridge. If only one it will be Imperial. Also considering Manchester and Warwick but not sure about which others.

Can't believe how competitive it is, for comp sci in particular.

@Amboseli thank you fir your research. Fingers crossed DS gets an offer he really liked the feel on the open day.

@yoyo1234 you're welcome. I think your DS is in with a very good chance having got this far. Fingers crossed.
