Just wondering if anyone has a child who has applied here?
DD had had an interview and we are wondering how long it takes to get an offer?

She has had some issues with the application so far and has had to chase the interview more than once (forgotten emails on their behalf both times)
Because of this it's making me wonder if she needs to chase up after the interview too?

There are a few on wiwikau who have applied/are there. My dd applied but for postgrad and it was all online due to covid at the time.

Mine applied there last year. I think it was one of the later responses but not as late as RNCM. He had all of his offers by early Jan or maybe Christmas. Has she had other offers already?

Yes, she's had all her offers, LIPA and Bath Spa did interviews Christmas week and got back to her before Christmas.

Normally I would be telling her to wait, but they have been pretty useless arranging the interview so I'm worried they might just forget to get in touch!

I would like her to hear back soon as she has an unconditional offer for LIPA, and we need to get a move on sorting accommodation if she's moving to Liverpool

Is it music or Acting/MT? I shouldn't worry too much about accommodation yet. LIPA are fairly used to working within the timelines of other drama schools who won't have even done recalls yet. Is she looking at Cathedral Campus?

Its Technical Theatre & stage management, she's only really considering LIPA and RWCMD, she's in the lucky position of having unconditional offers for everywhere.

Cathedral campus have sold out of all but their non ensuite rooms already in Liverpool!

She'll do no harm in picking up the phone and giving them a chase. There'll probably be an admissions email address too.

That's my thinking too LaviniasBigBloomers, if they offer her a place we would go and have another look around Cardiff next week to help her make a final decision, she's worried it will look pushy and make them turn her down!

It won't! Also she won't speak to the panel who make the offers, it'll just be someone in the admissions team.

Also <whispers> stage managers have to be a wee bit pushy.

She has no trouble being bossy with me!! I'm going to suggest a polite email and take it from there.
