Questions for uni visiting day

Hi, was wondering what questions people would want their child to ask on a visit/offers day? For DS I'm suggesting he asks about:

1. room cleaning arrangements in halls.
2. what supplies he should bring with him (eg what do shared kitchens have).
3. Try to work out if he wants ensuite or shared bathroom accommodation.
4. Best(cheapest) way of securing travel to various parts of campus.
5. Bathroom/ensuite cleaning arrangements and laundry arrangements (if he has to wash his bedding he'll need to bring more linen than they provide etc).

My list is probably ridiculous so if anyone can come up with other things to add I would be very pleased.

Ask about lectures, F2F hours. How many hours. Else you might as well stay in your bedroom at home and do an on line course, eh?

What time is 1/2 price cocktails 🍹 at the SU would be my first question? <<not helpful>>

Accommodation normally has own talk/tour so you can go in and have a look. Yes en suite more money but at least only washing in your own dirty shower. As cleaning unless at somewhere like Cambridge/Oxford is all down to them and their flat mates. Dont get too many sets of bedding as storage in room not great and it wont get changed like at home. Most Uni websites/Pintrest have lists of what is needed but also unless going to a very remote uni anything you forget can easily be purchased once there.

Let you DC think of questions they want answer to as its now time for you to take a back seat and let them decide where they want to spend next chapter of their lives.
