Gap year working - like Camp America

DS would have loved to do Camp America this summer but they only take people of 18+. He turns 18 in mid-August so would not be able to do it as it starts in June. Does anyone know of something similar where he could earn some money whilst working abroad over the summer?

what a pity. DD loved her time there. I looked up and the 18 years old is a US visa requirement.

This is something DD did when she was 17, and indeed has done several times since, including last summer. www.phab.org.uk/volunteering-holiday-projects

Really tough, but rewarding. Guests need 24 hour care so de facto it is residential.

Mainland Europe is likely to be difficult unless you can find a uk operator. Ireland could work if there is anything similar. Otherwise it is the UK. Somewhere like Camp Beaumont, though it is not clear whether they have residential jobs. Good luck.
