DS2 definitely wants to firm York for Chemistry (Mchem, and should achieve grades) but cannot decide between Liverpool or Nottingham for his insurance. Both want AAB, but for Notts he must have an A in Chemistry. Both will offer the BSC if offer not met.
We've done both open days and liked both uni's and cities and are quite familiar with both the city/campus thing. Liverpool is higher in the Chemistry rankings and closer to home but does Notts have more prestige? DS1 is at Notts and loves it.
Would also hope to do a year in industry.
Has anyone any experiences of Chemistry at either Liverpool or Nottingham? He's not sure their offer holder days in Feb/March will help him decide and York accommodation opens very soon.
