Budgeting for energy costs for house share

DD is trying to work out a budget for a house share in her second year, and asked me how much to budget for gas and electricity. I had no idea, not least as I don’t have a crystal ball, but I’d like to offer a more helpful response!

are there any websites that give figures for student budgeting? Has anyone else worked through this recently?

Following too as DD has just signed up to a house with 5 others for next year.

What they can do is pay a agent, they all pay say £30 a week and then it covers everything, gas, electricity , internet, water. Probably more expensive but they can use tumble and have heating on especially since loads of house rent living room out as bedroom and make conservatory into sitting room. Also they can tailor it to them. Have a Google

Also means if one of them can’t pay the others don’t have to find the money and theirs no arguing over who uses the shower more or if anyone has a partner/guest over

Ds’s house use Huddle which seems to work well. Huddle.uk.com. Might be worth them looking at it for an idea on payments.
