Bristol university - semester abroad programme

Has anyone's dc done this? Dd has just started her second year of a History degree at Bristol and is due to spend January - June 2023 studying in Prague.

She is/was very keen to do this but is finding the university department to be very unhelpful and she has lots of unanswered questions. She can't seem to find any information about assessment in Prague and how it affects her degree.

If anyone has personal experience of this programme I would be very grateful.

I know someone who did a year abroad at Bristol. Year 3 of a 4 year MEng degree. Exams were taken in the university they chose. My DD also went to Bristol and found the year abroad staff really helpful. The big question is: do you take exams in Prague or not based on what you have learnt there? Not much else matters really.

Not Bristol, but an academic involvrd in Study Abroad. FWIW I have only ever heard of taking exams on site, abroad, with the local cohort. The home School’s Study Abroad advisor should be able to explain how the mark will be converted back to a Bristol mark, also.

What else does she want to know? I’m assuming this is for 23/24? I think they give talks to interested students. As they’ve just about started term, perhaps it’s too early?
