Hello

A while ago someone posted a link to a site where you could see application numbers and success rates by college and by subject for both Oxford and Cambridge. I now can't find the link. Can anybody help?

Thank you.

I'd be interested in this too.

www.undergraduate.study.cam.ac.uk/apply/statistics

I've found it for Cambridge. It definitely exists for Oxford too- will keep looking.

The stats are definitely there somewhere. However the best advice I can give is to check which colleges offer which subjects and pick the one you like. It's impossible to game the system. If the tutors think they would like to teach you, they will find a college for you through the pooling system. If a college has vacancies but doesn't think the candidates are suitable, they won't fill all the available places.

Thanks @LaundryBin .

Just echoing Hewas. There are some stats somewhere for Oxford (I'll try and find) which show how many per subject were original applicants to each college. For example, in DS application year the college interviewed 24 people for his subject for approx 8 places. In the event, only 3 offers were original applicants to that college and they took 5 that had applied to other colleges. Glad I didn't know that at the time!
