Car insurance for uni student

Hi can anyone recommend car insurance for a uni student who is leaving her car at home whilst she lives away?

All my dds quotes are coming back higher than last year even though she'll barely be using her car, and there's no option to say it'll be off the road 8 of the year

Can you put down a very low annual mileage if the car will be hardly used? My daughter's is 5,000, I think while she is away at university.

Thanks but we tried that and it's still £50pm, last years was £40, she's going to call her current insurer tomorrow and see what they say.

I'm surprised it not more of a thing, I've searched various forums like mse and there's no mention of it.

Have you tried a multi car policy with your own car? We have me, dh and dc on one policy with Admiral multi car. But we pay all the insurance.
