Course guides and rankings

Hello All. DD is now looking at university courses in preparation to booking open days. Which listing guides are best please? Currently looking at Times and Guardian listings for course rankings. What else would be useful please? She's looking at art and design courses if that's relevant. She has her A level grades already so can be realistic about where she applies. Thank you.

In our experience art & design courses are tricky in the ranking tables as they're so broad. It's worth using as a guide but check each individually - which is a time consuming bore.... you can use her predicted ucas points to refine the search on the UCAS website which helps a bit.
RG tend not to be in the top tables for art & design although there are a few like Edinburgh, Southampton (Winchester College of Art), Leeds. Many are art schools that became unis post '92.

@Localher0 thank you, really helpful. She actually has her A level results, didn't apply/ defer last year as didn't feel ready. She's about to start an art foundation course at our local university so I hope they will offer support too. Art / design is outside of my area of experience! She's determined not to stay local for her degree though hence the trawling of university websites ...

Same! Although my DD has her deferred place as long as she doesn't change her mind.
