My Ds is taking the HN route to University.
He has a choice - TODAY - to take an HNC next week in Cyber Security.
this would be instead of an A level & be his entry into Uni of choice at Year 1.
OR he could enrol for a 2 yr HNC in general computing /software development.
This would take him into Y3 of chosen Uni but only for Computing degree.
The complication is that he wants to start at Y1 'with everyone else'
But, he doensn't feel ready to apply for Uni this autumn. He is Autistic.
His 'way forward' has been very complicated over hte years. He has watched me make decsions that have then gone wrong educationally. He struggles to know what HE wants / make choices due to that & in large part the Autism.
Any advice over the general - start at Y1 / join part way through of a Degree ??
