With actual grades is it worth applying with below entry grades

Just that - when you see entry requirements for a course is it worth applying if you are one grade off. My DC has actual grades now and is looking for 2023 entry. Seems this year very few are being offered a place if they’ve dropped a grade unlike previous years where an AAA would except say an AAB.

I thought the grade requirement were minimum grades, and many applicants exceed these.

But perhaps you could ring the Uni and ask?

It largely depends on the institution and the course. Lots of popular universities and courses are massively oversubscribed so would be very unlikely to accept someone without the minimum grades. The opposite is true for undersubscribed courses/unis.

As PP says might be worth calling the admissions team at the uni.
