Hello, my dd has had an absolutely terrible A Level results day - results have come out 2 grades below her predictions for all 3 subjects. She had applied for Engineering as she wasn't sure about job prospects for an Accountancy and Finance degree. She thought she would go into finance after her undergraduate degree if she didn't enjoy engineering.
she has the option of calling Leicester university back tomorrow for the possibility of a place on their foundation engineering course. but in case they refuse her a place, she is thinking of doing an undergraduate accounting and finance degree possibly at Keele University with a foundation year. She is very reluctant to resit her A levels next summer.
I am worried about her job prospects if she does this though and I am worried about jobs involving lots of numbers not being future proof (AI, machine learning etc).
Would be incredibly grateful for any advice.
