Has there been an issue with the ocr board today?

Not wanting to trouble a relation as I haven’t heard re their results. But I know their ds sat ocr for maths. Is there a technical problem with ucas or unis receiving ocr results do we know?

There's an issue with OCR Cambridge Technical results, I've not heard anything on twitter about any problems with A-level maths though.

DS did OCR for 4 subjects. No problem as far as I know.

OCE did not submit all results to UCAS eg history

We are waiting for an OCR Cambridge technical result in IT and no idea when we will get it. Clearing places (if people need them) are being snapped up and accommodation allocated. Very stressful for all involved

There are thousands of kids stuck in limbo. I've started tweeting about it as it's just not making the news. Feels like only a-levels make the news ☹️

Neighbours daughter is waiting for results from OCR Cambridge. Family are stressed and upset, haven't been able to contact anyone, only a generic message. Really worried about what is going to happen to accommodation, whether it will still be available.

Daughter was in tears when she was telling g me about it earlier.

OCR seem to have dealt with this really badly and haven't updated panicking students. Absolutely terrible.

Pearsons also haven't got all the btec results out to UCAS. We've had the most horrible day waiting for DD to see if shes got into her first choice. Should be either a day of celebration or commiserations, and we can't do either! It's a terrible way to treat these kids after what they've had to go through. If we don't hear tomorrow I dread to think.what the weekend will be like. Its too much😣

Still no results over 24 hours later and rumours of maybe Saturday. Grr. Lots of tweeting going on, sadly only being reported by bbc NI.

Did dd get her results? I started a thread about this late last night/early hours today as dd got her btec results but has not had her conditional offer confirmed. I got her to contact uni directly today and they have asked her to send her results in as they haven't had them. I am a complete ignoramus of how these things work but you would think getting the btec results and actually all alevel results to UCAS is a basic thing that they should be able to achieve. Its very stressful. Still dont know when her place will be confirmed. I hate waiting.

It talks about students not receiving results but doesn't mention students who have results where UCAS haven't been updated.

I think we have movement in the right direction as chosen uni have said dd ucas will be updated in 24 hours.
My sympathy for those waiting results still. Thats just awful for you all. It needs investigating as to how it has happened.

DD had her results from about 9am yesterday. The problem was with Pearson getting the results to her uni the same as your DD. Literally, they have one job.
Thankfully we have heard this morning that she got her place. But she is stressed and upset about the whole situation and can't see at the moment how amazing she has done. I am gutted for her that it's gone like this and she wasn't able to celebrate like everyone else yesterday.
But I won't let her dwell on it either. Am just disgusted with many educational establishments involved with her life over the last 2 years.

I had assumed it would all judt happen like it did for my ds last year, but he did alevels. I so nearly didnt think about it as dd was out celebrating and mentioned not knowing why she has no confirmation. What would have happened if we hadnt realised and started asking questions.

OFQUAL have issued a statement saying unis will hold places till 7th September but they hope this is all test you then

That's outrageous, I hope it's sorted soon. I saw James Cleverly (current Ed Sec) tweeting about the BTEC situation but he didn't mention the OCR issue was also not sorted.

I wonder if it's not getting as much publicity as it deserves because it involves vocational qualifications. People probably also assume that university places wouldn't depend on them.

@Kayjay2018 any news? Waiting for as long as possibly till the 7th is actually outrageous. Have they just not bothered to mark them?

I do think this highlights that they are not considered in the same way as Alevels as the outrage would be headline news.

Personally btecs have been an amazing experience for my daughter who had to work extremely hard to get her top marks and yet when she has told people I hear her saying things like "I know its not the same as A levels and I didnt have to do exams" I have told her to not make that comparison again.
