She doesn’t need student finance for a variety of reasons but has a disability and entitled to DSA. To apply online for DSA she has to apply for Student Finance, which she doesn’t need. There’s an option to do without student finance that’s by post but the university needs to sign this. It’s a physical form so I’m not sure how she can get that signed and to the DSA people prior to starting Uni. The uni is far from local. She’ll need the university’s ‘needs assessment’ prior to starting but can’t have that until the forms are with the DSA people.
Has anyone done this successfully prior to starting university please?
