Anyone got any tips on improving VR Scores in UCAT. DS is not a good reader. Does anyone know of any YouTube videos or guidance he can use. Btw he is using medify

I'm afraid it's really a matter of practice because the time-pressure is so intense.

There are tips available all over the web, e.g. www.themedicportal.com/blog/ucat-verbal-reasoning-tips/. But someone who isn't in the habit of reading is inevitably going to find it more difficult as they're not used to constantly interpreting written text, which is what the VR section is testing (and which is a large part of what doctors do when they read patient notes, look up guidelines, etc.).

It's difficult - consider using the medify VR optimiser, read faster, get better at scanning and also not to neglect the other 3 sections which can bring up your score.

Here is another article explaining more about verbal reasoning and the basics (I found it useful to read as a parent). But my son just did his UCAT and scored 2950 (but was mainly helped by scores in the non VR sections.
