Hello, has anyone used a professional advisor for US uni application process? Any good ones that you would recommend?

I haven’t got any leads for you, OP. I popped on to say that if MumsNet can’t help, perhaps some of the American expat forums can. Unfortunately I don’t have any leads on those, either. Good luck.

Look at A Star Future
The Fulbright Commission
And the study abroad section of Prospects.ac.uk ( I think it's in the post-grad section)

By the way, many UK universities offer the opportunity to study abroad for a period of time and is included in the UK tuition fee. I'm sure you already know, but you can't get UK student finance for an entire American degree

Thanks. Fortunately, we're not seeking financial support.
