Sutton Trust Summer Schools - anyone heard?

DD applied to Cambridge and hasn't yet heard - has anyone else? The email she had said she should hear by the end of April.

We'll contact them next week but I hope that's not bad news...

My daughter has applied too, we both received letters about a month ago saying she has been given a place on the new digital platform and that decisions for the actual physical summer school would be made by the beginning of May. We haven't heard anything else since then though.

@mittensonelastic my DD has an email recently also saying she had a place online but the week placement successful applications would be announced early May.
She really wanted this as EVERY work experience /uni taster days has been online and the Sutton Trust is the only thing that's face to face.
Fingers crossed.

DD applied for a place at St Andrew’s.
She hasn’t heard anything from them about either an online experience, or in person.
I would be surprised if she gets a place as other than having good grades and going to a state school she doesn’t really hit any of the criteria.

Dd went there in 2017 and loved it.
Fast forward 5 years and she was offered a place there with a Scholarship and turned it down!
She's chosen Glasgow instead.
(She'll be just 21 when she starts Uni, circumstances meant she's not been ready until now)

@blametheparents my DD is the same although we do live in lower decile postcode. Think she had 3 of the criteria and they said last year no one was accepted without at least 4 of the criteria. It was worth a shot. I assumed they all would have got an online spot although maybe this means she will get an actual place at the summer camp instead.
I thought seeing as my DD was given an online spot that meant she hadn't been accepted for the week placement.

Just had an email confirming my DS has a place on the music course. We are really surprised as we only had one of the criteria needed. He was also accepted for the online course.

We've just heard that DD's not been successful - despite meeting 3 out of the 5 criteria Sad

So sorry that your DD didn't get a place, mittensonelastic. We actually had 2 of the criteria as I mistakenly thought the grades was part of the eligibility requirement.

DD was declined a place at St Andrews.
Not surprising really since she didn't really hit any of the criteria! Well, other than being at a State school.

Heard from Cambridge about a week ago. It was a no, but she secured a place at Edgehill uni. They are still accepting applications if anyones interested.
