Dd has had offers from all her other choices but still waiting to hear back from Exeter which is her first choice. Has anyone had a offer yet for any of the English courses?

Thank you, dd received a email saying offers will go out after the last date for applications but so far she’s had no email.

Waiting for English Literature & Drama here.

My son is still waiting for Exeter' decision. He sent the UCAS application off in November and got 4 out of 5 decisions back really quickly. He's applied for History & Modern Languages.

We've got Nottingham's offer holder day on Saturday. If he still likes what he sees there, he will probably withdraw Exeter's application and first Nottingham. Their accommodation portal opens at the beginning of March and it's first come, first served, so can't really afford to wait for Exeter if they take much longer.

It's frustrating.

Just thought I would pop on this thread as my DD is a fresher at Exeter and is really happy there.

The waiting for offers is a pain but it's still really early for all five offers to be in yet. My DD received her last offer from Durham mid-February whereas students from last year were still waiting on St Andrews in April/May. Don't feel pressured to firm just to secure accommodation as I think it's wrong of universities to put pressure on your teenagers.

One of the reasons Exeter might be taking longer to send out offers this year is that so many students made their grades last year which made finding accommodation for them on campus tricky. They weren't the only university with this problem!

Good luck everyone and I'm sure your teenagers will have lots of exciting offers to choose from.
