Anyone have any experience of these - suitable as a taster pre university? Thinking of a 2/3 week residential course for my DD if such a thing exists! Thx

Watching as this is something DD wants to do next year.

Is this for a prospective Russian student?

My DS went to Kiev in the Ukraine instead... much cheaper, although with hindsight he probably would have enjoyed living in Odesa more. Odesa is beautiful and by the sea - a couple of his mates really enjoyed their Summer course there! www.studyrus.com

I don’t think it is safe to go to Ukraine at the moment. St Petersburg is lovely and cheaper than Moscow.

Yes DD will be reading Spanish with Russian - Spanish is fluent doesn't speak a word of Russian hence the course!

DS had already done a school trip to Moscow and St Petersburg so it was nice to go somewhere different. Yes, some parts of Ukraine aren't safe, but Odesa is a very long way from the Russian border!

There's no way I'd be letting him go anywhere in the Ukraine at the moment. The entire situation there is very very precarious.

St. Petersburg is a wonderful city. But maybe just hang fire a bit before booking anything to see how the Russia-Ukraine conflict situation develops.

Absolutely - good call! X
