UCAS offer but no email or letter from university

Hi, my son got an offer on the UCAS hub last week from York but hasn't had an email or a letter directly from them. Just wondering if this is usually the case or if we should chase?

I think it's normal to just hear through UCAS

DD just has an offer from Lancaster at the moment, but had the UCAS email, and three from Lancaster, one about joining their "hub", one about finance and a general one containing the offer.
Obviously, that's just one university so it seems they all operate differently.

Congratulations to your DD on his offer! I think some send out emails about offer days etc. but I'm guessing some universities are slower than others.
You could email them but they are probably very busy at the moment so I'd wait a bit I think.

Did your DS get any other offers yet?

No other offers yet Budapest. We will hang on to contact them,.I just don't want him to miss an offer holders day as we haven't visited (but think he will love it!)

I think offer holder days are Feb-April?? (not actually sure, but definitely late winter/early spring).
What subject is he applying for?

It's worth checking with them in a week or two.

I got an offer and no follow up letter (this was early 00s so no email follow up) turned out they had my address wrong so no idea where the welcome pack went.

The only letter my ds ever got two years ago was from one university lowering their original grade offer, otherwise everything, including offer holder days, came to him via email. Tell your DS to keep a constant eye on Spam as well as his inbox but I wouldn't, nowadays, expect much on actual paper.

Dd got an invite to offer holder day(held Jan-March iirc) but it may have been a little while later. Some unis post out "Congratulations" postcards but they are really a marketing ploy and bombard with emails.
