Does anyone know of a student-friendly estate agent near Goldsmith university?

My daughter and friend have got into a bad situation with a let and are in urgent need of finding something new to stay however are having no luck.

My daughter rents with Dexters but she’s over in Ealing.

She also found the room by answering an advert in a Facebook group from the outgoing tenant so she was joining an existing house share.

Spareroom.com might be a useful place to start. These are flat shares and used by younger people quite often. Ask at the uni accommodations office?

There’s also Rightmove and Zoopla. Right I’ve has a few around New Cross. Not cheap but they might well be available. I found several 2 bed ones. A bit further afield might reduce rents.

There is also sturents.co.uk. Should have been spareroom.co.uk

The London student market isn’t different from the general rental market. It’s not as seasonal as other cities with students. I would just start googling and look at the areas where they could live with decent transport links.

Put student accommodation into Google maps, it brings up private halls in the area.

A friends DC is at Landale house, which is just off the over ground at Canada water.

I agree spare room.co.uk is a good place too look.

Yes quite a few private halls have vacancies but for two separate rooms they can be at least £200 a week each. For less than that, they should get a 2 bed flat.
