Daughter has found this website where you stay in an empty property as a guardian as your university accommodation. Sounds genuine but wondered if anyone had any experience of this ? Thank you

I don’t think a student would be eligible to be a guardian. My friend does this regularly but has to have good references and proof of employment etc. She and her partner also have to move around fairly regularly (every few months or so) to a new property at fairly short notice. Sometimes they’ve had to stay at friends or Airbnb in between until somewhere is available because there’s a lot of competition.

Their website says you need to be age 21+ and in full time employment liveinguardians.com/apply

They only offer 28 day rolling contracts, i.e. they could tell your daughter she has to leave within 4 weeks, even if that means moving out half way through exams with nowhere else to go.
