Student finance England - help please

I have to give my annual income details so sfe can calculate how much I need to contribute to dd1's maintenance.

Does anyone know what I would put down from the attached pic? Do I put down the figure on the left or that plus the right hand sum?

Thanks

gross pay, not take home

AbsolutelyPatsy · 20/06/2021 09:57

the one on the right is the tax that has been paid by you, so the one on the left,

JeepersJuly · 20/06/2021 10:08

But is the gross pay the left plus the right figure, or does the right figure merely say how much has been already taken off the left figure.

Nowhere on my p60 is labelled 'gross'

I use the left figure. They link with DWP, any problems they come back to you. My friend changed jobs and didn't inform them of the pay increase, student finance contacted her and adjusted the payments.

you can look on the gov.uk website.

DH always puts in his before tax - so just double check that is the correct figure you are putting in (double check from your wage slip?)

The figure on the left is gross so put that. Remember they want tax year 2019-2020 this time.

I phoned them up last year and its amount you earned including the tax.
