I want to do a BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy Course next year and was advised to undertake the Study Skills course and it's a really good course.
It's a non topical course, so to say, but teaches you how to write an essay, how to construct and Argument, how to effectively take note, summarize, etc...
It is a 10 week part time course (30 contact hours, 70hours learning by yourself), cost me £100 and I have no regretts...so, if anyone else is thinking of going back to Uni or going Uni for the first time...it's a good course to do, imo....although, not all Universities offer it, but certainly worth having a look out for it!

Am off to it in a moment....well...if blinking dh decides to come home...sigh!
You don't have to do this course at the Uni where you want to do your degree, btw....i.e. I know not all University's offer it, but you may find a Uni that does do them, in a reasonable distance from you!
