DD pissed off with online learning. She's just said how can five year olds go back to school, plaiting each other's hair, holding hands, sharing drinks/food like they do …. yet late teens/early 20s can't head back to lectures.

He did mention universities . He said that those who need practical facilities for assessment can go back 8 March. Others must stay at home with a decision made before the end of the Easter holiday about the summer term .

oh ok I missed that, thanks.

The summer term is mainly gearing up for exams, so not much point in getting students to return then...

Different universities and courses do different things in the summer term. Lots of students are back. How can they have equitable exams when some are at home and some are at university? dds course is hoping to have in person exams, but her college hasnt allowed them back.

My daughter is in her final year and has been at home since the beginning of December.

She has decided to go back after Easter whatever. It's her last term and she wants to be able to say goodbye properly to her friends.

This was one of the many documents that had popped into my inbox while was out for a walk.

(Another one that arrived was a letter from DS2's school, to say, essentially, We'll get back to you once we've worked out the actual logistics...).
