Cambridge Pre u exams 2021- any news???

Has anyone heard yet if Cambridge has cancelled Pre U exams this summer like IGCSE?

They haven't confirmed that they're cancelling IGCSE yet...

On another thread someone said that schools have had letter although not in website yet ???

There is a risibly opaque update on the CIE website. Key quote being

“ For the small number of countries (such as Mexico and the UK) and regions within countries where running exams is not possible because of directives from national or regional authorities, we are looking at switching from exams to an approach based on teacher assessment. This would apply to all schools in those countries and regions. We will provide a further update next week.”

But nothing definitive has yet come to schools, at least according to a webinar from DS1’s school this evening. It is as though they are trying to be difficult.... Maybe they are waiting for the results of the consultation.

Our school has announced cancellation as they inrepret it to mean exams won't go ahead and the further announcement relates to what will replace the exams (and expect it will be similar to the JCQ governed boards)>
