University return in January

Does anyone know what the plans are for universities in January? My DS is due to return to a hall of residence at the start of January but we are wondering if this will happen now that a large part of the country will be in T4.

Universities are going to find it hard to charge rent in halls for students other than medical students and similar etc who are having face to face sessions. I agree with the suggestion in the article that those stuck at university with no lectures should pay half rent and those at home with nothing other than online should not have to pay any rent.

Nearly half a million people signed an online petition to reduce student tuition fees. The pressure is starting to mount on Unis and the Govt to deal with the student's raw deal.
