how to get into midwifery

hi
i really want to train to become midwife but have no idea how to go about it. i wasnt the best student when at school 10 years ago lol so got really bad gcse's. but have grown up now [at last] and really want to do the one thing ive always wanted.
just i have no idea how to go about it. #

will i have to study for gcse's again or is there another way to get in??

please give me some advice

Probably your best option would be to do an access to nursing course at college, stating that you want to do the midwifery side of nursing. You dont need any qualifications to start on the course and the course is excellent for preparing you for university. I myself is on the access to nursing course and the college are even helping us to put together our personal statements for our applications for university to give us best chance of being acccepted as possible.
