Hello,
I hope someone can help. I'm thinking of enrolling on a post 16 pgce (so teaching adults not children). I've so far managed to find out how many days a week I'll need to attend college but am unable to find out how many days a week I'll have to spend on placement. The college has said they are unsure. The university running the course through the college has not yet responded to my e-mail. Could anyone on here shed some light?

I'd love to do the course but want to be realistic as to whether I am able to commit to placement days as well as says at college. The pgce is part-time over two years. I'll be spending two days a week in college.

Hi @Bella43, we know you posted this in AIBU for traffic, but as that hasn't worked we're going to move your thread over to our Higher Education topic - hopefully some knowledgeable Mumsnetters will be along soon!

Best of luck with it all. Flowers

And another bump for luck!

Placements will likely run in blocks, so it will depend on where you’re placed. The college should be able to tell you - could they give you last years timetable for an idea?

Thank you for your reply. That's a good idea about last year's timetable. I'll ask themSmile
