Are they spending every possible moment together during this break? Is that only to be expected or do you feel they could spread themselves around a bit?

DD had a boyfriend who went to university a year before she did. They did spend some time together when he came home, but not every single day. TBH he preferred to be in his university town rather than his home town. Sadly, university changed him from a nice young man into a conceitedly arrogant youth. The relationship has now ended.

My Dd has a boyf that she met at school during sixth form but he’s at a different uni. He finished for Christmas a week before she did, and apart from Christmas Day and a couple of overnights they’ve been together pretty much all of the holidays - mostly alternating a couple of nights at his house then a couple of nights here. I don’t mind really, he’s a nice kid, they both support each other and are easy to be around as a couple - it’s actually nice to see him coming out of his shell a bit after his first term at university. They see each other about 2 out of 3 weekends during uni term time (they're just over an hour apart), it’s nice that they’ve gotten through their first term and are still mushy over each other
