City and Guild Maths, or GCSE

Hiya,

Dh wanted to redo his Maths GCSE. He had a low grade in it (over ten years ago!), and really wants to redo it to get his grade up.

There are a few local GCSE Maths courses, but Learn Direct is also offering a City and Guilds Maths which is study at home (which is easier as Dh works full time with shifts).

Which one is better - we've been told the C and G is easier.

Thanks

the city and Guilds is not of an equivelent standard to the GCSE.

so if he passed the GCSE previously it would be of no benefit to tkae C&G now as it is about the same as a GCSE mark D-c

Thanks Mamazon,
Learn Direct said that officially it was the same level, but Uni's may not accept it as a C Grade Maths GCSE iykwim.
