A levels - looming x

Hi there
Can I ask how everyone's teens are dealing with run up to A levels whigh are just around the corner. I do think our Dd has had a touch of realisation this week, attending revision at college and revising with BF. Had one melt down this week and can see and hear anxiety growing?. Anyone else and any advise? I'm personally feeling a mixture of things - praying she gets through and grades she needs for her place at Uni. Thank you for reading..xx

Hi op, not there yet as my eldest is doing GCSEs but wanted to give your post a bump so more experienced posters see it. Good luck to your dd!

Mine is doing the IB, so their exams are entirely in May and all over by 1/2 term!

Lots of revision going on over the Easter hol. Past papers analysed. Keeping steadily on with it.

They also have their 18th in the middle of it, so planning for that too.

And a driving test this month! Shock

I just provide food, clean washing, etc.

Dd has been up and out this week by 8.15 to get the bus to the main library. It opens at 9.15 but she says there's a queue by 9.15 and when the doors open people run to get a seat. She was in awe the first day Grin

Hi Monica,

There's a long-running thread for y13 trials and tribulations - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/higher_education/3537375-Applying-for-Uni-2019-Part-5-UCAS-offers-and-exam-season-looming - do come and join us!

It's definitely a tough time, I'm currently on round 3 and fortunately this one is probably the easiest of my 4!

Mines doing ok as far as
I can tell / notice . Her plan during the Easter holidays was to study M- F and take weekends off . She already has an A* in Maths from last Summer and although she’s taking 3 A levels including ‘ more maths ‘ aka Further Maths only needs two A grades to get into her firm and insurance so I would imagine that really takes the pressure off her - lucky kid .

Hi everyone
Thank you for replies..it's certainly a rough time for all? Dd off to college at 11 to revise for a few hours then out with BF for a chill time. We're having mum/ daughter time Saturday x... it's an awful time xo
