Not that there is any guarantee that it wouldn't be an issue in the other local schools of course.

Guildford High is straightforwardly for the academic high flyer: it only takes in the who are very bright and, predictably, turns out results to match.

Farnborough Hill takes in a much wider range of abilities (although all average or above) and prides itself in doing the very best for each girl. For a bright girl that may mean Oxbridge or medicine and for a less bright girl that may mean something vocational; but the aim in both cases will be to make sure that she has achieved her potential and been very happy while doing so. The school has a very warm community ethos and the new head is very strong. Horrible green stripes are about to be replaced by very attractive new uniform

@atthelthryth

True that about GHS... fortunately DD is on the brighter side...
but the points you mentioned is exactly the reason I like FH...
Hopi g to now make the right decision for DD🤞
Thanks

Once you get through the exam process you will have a much clearer idea.

Difficult one. Guildford will feel like the less "risky" option; but I have seen at close hand how well FH nurtures the very bright girls- it's a very stimulating environment
