May I ask for your opinions if you have one?

Usual pros/cons, comparisons, reputation etc.

This is for one of my children, starting 2019.

Many thanks.

UEA have a particular reputation for it - no idea about Manchester

UEA - tricky to get into, I think they ask for a portfolio of work.

What do the grads actually do when they leave the course? Which has better employment prospects? Is anyone actually a creative writer, or does this not matter? Who is the target employer? Is it better than doing English or any other degree that involves writing? I would weigh all this up.

UEA . International reputation in the field. Pioneer.

And, yes, lots of recent novelists have creative writing degrees.
