Hi, just wondered if anyone would share with me their DC's predicted grades and the grades required for each course they're applying for. Interested, and also a bit concerned DD should have another lower grade course:

Predicted A*AA. No EPQ but has music grade 8 which could be applicable to some courses. Also, working on a diploma and grade 8.

Applying: Durham AAA, Birmingham AAA, St Andrews AAA, Warwick AAA Edinburgh AAB

Which courses take the music into account? What does she want to study? Three of these are lower than predictions and Edinburgh is a grade lower on two of the three A levels so this is her back up - assuming she gets offers of course. Looks about right to me. If she really bombs then I would start again and take a gap year.

Predicted AAA (English Literature/ Politics / French).

Applying for International Relelarions and French, or whatever the equivalent is at each university:

Leeds (Languages, Cultures and IR): ABB with minimum A in French
Birmingham: AAB
Warwick: AAB
Exeter: AAA - ABB
UEA: BBB

3A’s (Eng Lit, Geog, Class Civ).
IR or Pol and IR
Lancaster AAB
Loughborough ABB
York AAB
St A’s AAA
Left 5th blank for now 😬

The UCAS Offer Rate Calculator is a useful tool for looking at offer rates stats, based on predicted grades for courses at specific universities.

What course is your dc applying for? Tbh my ds looks on paper like he's applying for over-ambitious places, but he's applying for a recruiting course, where most RGs have clearing vacancies, and has a plan C and D

Dd predicted A*A A and her range will be from that to ABB. If she drops lower than that I think I will suggest a gap year so she can properly process what she wants to so.
So proud of her for getting it all done and aiming high but sick to the stomach every time I think of the exams and results day!

DD forecast AAA. I feel she's very likely to get an A&A, but worried she'll drop to a B one.

So far, she's decided on AAA, AAA and AAB. Deciding between other choices which are AAA, AAA, AAA and AAA. Her only real back up is AAB but they have an offer rate of below 50%!
