How on earth can I work out funding options for further education

Hoping someone can help here!

Really interested in returning to uni to retrain...I have a BSc and would like to do a PGDip or similar...basically to train as a midwife, physiotherapist or OT

The problem is, I need to work out funding options, but I have no idea where to start.

I have 2 kids, mortgage etc so it would be great if anyone knows a good place to start, or if you've been in a similar position?

I don't know if you can still train for the professions you mention without doing a degree rather than a diploma. I understand that people who want to train for them are allowed to take out another Student Loan, but hopefully someone more knowledgeable will come along in a minute.
Good luck with your change of career Smile

People who want to train for them but have already done a degree, I mean.

Thanks :)

Sorry yeah I meant PGDip or another degree, depending on the course

Another student loan would certainly help, just wondering if there are grants/childcare allowance etc available? I'd need to cover the fees but also cover mortgage and kids

As far as I'm aware all options need another first degree - you can't just do a PGDip and become a midwife. You'd qualify for a loan for an NHS eligible course, and maintenance loan. Probably some sort of tax credits as you have kids.
