Way way behind. Have work due on Thursday which not started yet, though have done some research. Exam in about 3 weeks and shed loads of revision. Am starting to think should drop it as seems impossible just now (3 kids, no time). Have done okay up to now...am panicking.......any tips???

Firstly, studying with three children is very hard. You need to go and talk to your tutor, and explain this.
I'm assuming you don't want to dive up? What are you studying?

With regards to the essay for this thursday, can you ask for an extension? Then get together your research, put it into some sort of order, write an essay plan. Do a little more reseach if neccessary, but don't spend too long. Then write the essay, hand it on and concentrate on your revision.

Make a revision plan - a little bit every day, and some days with a lot of revision. Three weeks should be long enough.
Ask your dh/dp /anyone else to help out until your exams are over.

Good luck!

I mean give up, not dive up!

No, I wouldn't like to give up.

I'm doing a 2nd level literature course. I can't ask for an extension as its what they call a 'non-substitional' piece of work - otherwise I may have done. You're right I'll do a bit more research just tonight (only time I get to study really) and then start writing it tomrrow.

The revision seems like a huge mound of material, but will just have to be selective. The nerves are starting to get the better of me, but it has been a long held ambition to do a literature degree!!

Thanks for replying......any tips gratefully recd.

schneebly · 14/05/2007 13:22

dont give up! I felt the same - I have 3 exams this week, 3 consecutive days, 3 diffreent subjects I also have 2 kids and work 12 hours pw and I just thought 'how then hell can I manage' and the answer is....caffeine - inordinate amounts of caffeine! I know it is not healthy but it is only for a short period! Planning also helps! Good luck!
