Seriously, I phoned to enquire about courses, and (as I already knew) I need to have a better idea of what I'd like to do, post-study.

Are there any websites or resources where you can put in say a subject, and it brings up information on different careers in that pathway?

For example, I'm interested in the environment but I have no idea what you'd do with it! I love my current job but I'm not entirely sure it's where I'll be in 20 years.

Do connexions cover adults ? Sure I went to them as an adult (though they might cover up to 25?)

Thought connections was just to 18 or so. have you thought about askign at a college or going to a careers advisors place and looking at the books. I know you wanted a website but i cant think of any at the moment.
