Maintenance Allowance for Undergraduates September 2017

A lot of the threads on this topic are relatively old. I was just wondering what people considered reasonable as an allowance, given that rent and bills are paid. We gave my DD £450 a month in 2014 and intend to do the same with DS this September. Any thoughts?

The simplest way is surely to pay the difference between the full maintenance loan and what they have been awarded?

I think that is ironically the figure we have used!

Should be fine. If it's not they may have to look at getting some sort of a job. I did at uni for a while.
